Review & Giveaway: The Blessings of Unity

About the book:
The Blessings of Unity offers insight and ideas for creating godly unity in our marriages centered around two key concepts:
1) Abiding in the Vine and walking in the Spirit, and
2) Learning and applying the concept of unity.
Unity is achieved when a man and woman strive for agreement with God by processing His Will on every decision and in every issue. Through Biblically-centered discussions of discord, division, unity, discipleship, and prayer, and through exploring Biblical examples of unity, Richard Case offers husbands and wives practical and spiritual advice for working together in unity in the Spirit so that they can more perfectly present themselves to God for his divine approval.

About the author/ministry:
Before his current role in developing retreats and serving this ministry, All for Jesus, Richard Case worked for many years with Fortune 500 companies in management and consulting roles. He holds a BS in Management and Finance from Bradley University, an MBA from the University of Southern California, and a seminary Masters degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Richard has been a featured speaker at conferences and seminars; he has hosted a radio show and is a published author. Richard and his wife, Linda, answered the call from the Lord to Abide in Him through the Spirit. Together, Richard and Linda have started up several churches that remain strong today, and have served as interim pastors of troubled churches, bringing reconciliation and new vision to these situations. Richard and Linda began conducting marriage retreats in 2001. Richard and Linda currently live in Castle Rock, CO.

Here is a link to a free ebook, Unshakeable (6 pgs)

My Review: Oh I loved this book! The very first chapter starts out with an evaluation of your marriage for both myself and my husband, to be done separately and very honestly. I loved that. It is so important to honestly evaluate things so that you can address things so that healing can happen. The author shared his own testimony of his marriage and how they were able to overcome division and become unified.
One of the primary keys to unity is a desire to go to unity....Ephesians tells us that we are to walk worthy of our calling---which is to walk with the Father in the Spirit, surrendering to Him and seeking His will. This requires humility, gentleness, patience and walking through the difficulties with each other in love. We are called to work (attend to carefully) to keep the unity of the Spirit in the "Bond of Peace--Shalom."

One of the big take aways I got from the book is the importance of walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh. Dying to self and putting my sweetheart first.

I so think this is a book worth reading! It is not a long read, easily read a chapter every night with my husband.

Review & Giveaway: Say & Pray Devotions

Author: Diane Stortz is an author and former editorial director whose heart’s desire is to “tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord” (Psalm 78:4). Diane’s books include Words to Dream On, The Sweetest Story Bible, I Am, Say & Pray Bible, and A Woman’s Guide to Reading the Bible in a Year. Diane and her husband reside in Cincinnati, Ohio, and have two married daughters. Diane enjoys walking, gardening, and visiting her four young grandsons.

About the book: Bestselling children’s author Diane Stortz has sold nearly 300,000 books—Bible storybooks, devotionals for children, and more. This brand-new title, Say & Pray Devotions, is the perfect beginner devotional for little ones.
Parents who already know and love the Say & Pray Bible will love Say & Pray Devotions as it helps their youngsters continue to engage their faith in a personal way. Featuring the same fun style of artwork and the educational elements as Say & Pray Bible, this devotional for little ones will teach the basics of identification and comprehension while sharing biblical principles for life. Each devotion offers a topical message to help little ones learn and follow biblical principles.

My Review:
The cover of the book is very much what you find on the inside! A perfect book for toddlers, with it's cardboard pages and short sentences. Each devotion is 2 pages, the first page says something about God's World and the second page is a short Scripture verse and prayer that relate to the previous page! The verses are short enough for our speaking toddlers to memorize! We are never too young to hide His Word in our hearts!

For more information on the book, you can check out the official website: http://store.faithgateway.com/say-pray-devotions

Review & Giveaway: Parenting, 14 Gospel Principles

In the midst of folding laundry, coordinating carpool schedules, and breaking up fights, many parents get lost. Feeling pressure to do everything “right” and raise up “good” children, it’s easy to lose sight of our ultimate purpose as parents in the quest for practical tips and guaranteed formulas.

In this life-giving book, Paul Tripp offers parents much more than a to-do list. Instead, he presents us with a big-picture view of God’s plan for us as parents. Outlining fourteen foundational principles centered on the gospel, he shows that we need more than the latest parenting strategy or list of techniques. Rather, we need the rescuing grace of God—grace that has the power to shape how we view everything we do as parents.

Freed from the burden of trying to manufacture life-change in our children’s hearts, we can embrace a grand perspective of parenting overflowing with vision, purpose, and joy.

To read an excerpt or hear part of the audio book, or to watch 14 very short videos on each of the Gospel Principles, visit Parenting, where you will also find purchase options as well.

My Review: My attention was first completely grabbed when I read a very controversial statement about people in ministry who have children. It is not often that people share my viewpoint on this very topic, and the author shared my own feelings so very concisely...I fell in love with this book on page 27. A little further on Paul makes a very good statement and ends with an important question, "So if zeal for ministry causes me to be less than faithful to my calling as a parent in the way that I manage my time and energy, I am seeking to get something out of my ministry that I am not supposed to get. Do ministry decisions and commitments make it hard for you to faithfully do your work as a parent?"
When I volunteered with the Seniors for 2 yrs, I had to stop because it became more important to me than taking care of my own family...I loved the recognition and the appreciation I received from them. I felt like I had purpose, a reason to get up in the morning. I look back and realize how very sad that is. My children are worth my efforts, even if I get no recognition or appreciation. I will get that from my Father later, and how much better will it be then!

Hear, O Israel; The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. (Deut. 6:4-9)
When your son asks you in time to come, "What is the meaning of the testimonies and the statutes and the rules that the LORD our God has commanded you?" then you shall say to your son, "We were Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt. And the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand. And the LORD showed signs and wonders, great and grievous, against Egypt and against Pharaoh and all his household, before our eyes. And he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in abd give us the land that he swore to give our fathers." (Deut. 6:20-23)
There's the value that God places on parenting, summarized in a couple brief, but profound paragraphs.

This is not a book that gives you a formula for how to treat certain behaviors, but a book that will change your view on parenting. It gives you a big picture parenting worldview, it teaches you the difference between ownership and ambassadorial parenting. I wish I could buy a case or two and give this book away to every parent I meet...it is that life changing.

Leave a comment below to enter the giveaway!! I will draw the winner on Nov 4th at noon.

Review & Giveaway: The Biggest Story

About: Once upon a time there lived a man and a woman. They were the happiest people on the planet. True, they were the only people on the planet, but they were still terrifically happy. Unfortunately, things didn’t stay happy and wonderful for long . . .The Bible is full of exciting stories that fill children with awe and wonder. But kids need to know how all those classic stories connect to Scripture’s overarching message about God’s glorious plan to redeem his rebellious people.

In The Biggest Story, Kevin DeYoung—a best-selling author and father of six—leads kids and parents alike on an exciting journey through the Bible, connecting the dots from the garden of Eden to Christ's death on the cross to the new heaven and new earth.
With powerful illustrations by award-winning artist Don Clark, this imaginative retelling of the Bible’s core message—how the Snake Crusher brings us back to the garden—will draw children into the biblical story, teaching them that God's promises are even bigger and better than we think.

I must say I really like the artwork in this short film. It gives the basic message of Christianity in under 30 minutes and is great for ages 5-8. I did not have my children watch it as it is not completely Scriptural in it's doctrine but it is definitely a great starting point to introduce kids to the message of the Messiah. It is broken down into 10 chapters if you want to use the individual stories as a starting point for a Sunday School lesson etc. There is a DVD, Audio CD and a Hardcover version of this story available, however only the DVD and audio cd are included in the giveaway.

For more information on the DVD check it out here

Katy Hudson was raised in Middlesbrough, England, and started her career as a small child drawing on freshly painted walls. Her parents quickly encouraged drawing with pencil and paper instead. Review & Giveaway: The Life We Never Expected

ABOUT THE BOOK:
What do you do when hard or painful circumstances turn your world upside down, resulting in a life you never expected? Andrew and Rachel Wilson grappled with this question after both of their children were diagnosed with regressive autism. Refreshingly honest, this book explores the highs and lows of raising children with specials needs, reflecting on the broader question of how to cope with suffering of all kinds. Sharing personal stories from their lives and encouragement rooted in the truth of God’s Word, Andrew and Rachel highlight lessons they’ve learned related to fighting for joy and thriving in the midst of trials—ultimately pointing readers to Christ, the One who promises to make all things new.

About the Author:
Andrew and Rachel Wilson are the authors of The Life We Never Expected: Hopeful Reflections on the Challenges of Parenting Children with Special Needs and have two children, Zeke and Anna. Andrew is the teaching pastor at King's Church London and a columnist for Christianity Today.

To buy this book now, click HERE.

My Review:
While I don't have severely challenging children, I do have a child with mild behavioral issues. Thankfully, those issues get incredibly better if gluten is avoided and I am able to stay on top of redirecting him from potential meltdowns. Andrew and Rachel have broken down each chapter with the subcategories: weeping, worshiping, waiting, witnessing and breathe.
A quote that speaks volumes to me,
"The greatest enemy to gratitude is a sense of entitlement. The moment you think that you are hard done by and deserve more, then you can wave goodbye to thankfulness. However, circumstances of sickness, death, or disappointment can lend themselves to a sense of entitlement like no other, and so cultivating gratitude and contentment in "all circumstances" can be a stiff challenge in a storm of suffering...I have already received from God way more than I deserve...Anything better than hell is a bonus, a radical bonus of grace from God to me. My eternal salvation, every sunrise, every family member, every friend, every mouthful of food, every article of clothing-it's all fair and square in the I-never-deserved-it-anyway category...Yep, I am a grateful man before, during and after the storm." PJ Smyth
And this goes for the general population, not just those who are in the middle of the struggle of life with special needs children!!!
"By choosing to celebrate how much I have and deciding to remind myself how little I deserve, I can sever the root of bitterness and give thankfulness the soil it needs in order to flourish, both at the same time. "Give thanks in all circumstances." 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Good call."
Another quote that is powerful,
"My first job every morning is to get happy with God, because until I am, I am no use to anyone."

I enjoyed reading this book and appreciate the authors for giving me a glimpse into their lives, the hard parts, the funny parts, the sad parts and the parts that show that they, as parents, are overcomers and they are allowing God to change them during this challenging life situation that has no end in sight. They helped me realize that it is GOOD and NORMAL to need to grieve a diagnosis like autism, but don't stay there. Allow God to work in you and to change you for the better. Seek HIM first, even if you never get the WHY questions answered.

If you have a child who is special needs, then you will more than likely enjoy this book and will want to enter the giveaway for a free copy!!! See below to find out how....

Review & Giveway: Would a Worm go on a Walk

About the book:
“Would a worm go on a walk, if you could lead him down the street? / Would he wear his tiny tennies, if he had two worm-sized feet?”
So begins this humorous and imaginative picture book that introduces children to the idea that animals are uniquely created by a loving and wise God. Would a Worm Go on a Walk?, with its colorful, comical illustrations, is a fresh, fun way to teach young children that God created all things very good. He gave all the animals, and children, too, wonderful qualities and unique strengths. Children will giggle over the ridiculous scenarios presented, and they will come away with the knowledge that we all are loved and special.

Format: Jacketed hardcover
Page count: 32
Reading age: 4-7

About the author:
Hannah C. Hall is the author of best-selling children’s books, including God Bless You and Good Night and God Bless Our Christmas, as well as an award-winning blog, HannahCHall.com. Hannah lives in Prairie Grove, AK with her husband, Josh, a worship pastor, and their four children.

A very cute book, that asks silly questions (only silly to adults) about the normal habits of various animals and at the end shares the idea that all animals have a very special purpose, just like each of us has a very special purpose and we are not the same as everyone else. My kids enjoyed this book, they are 7 and 10 and it is so good for them to hear the true message of the story over and over. That we are all different and that everyone is important. It's a great book to introduce the idea of the body of Messiah and each of us having a different roll, but no one is "better" than the other. Great book for the younger set. I would make a point to look for Mrs. Hall's books!!!

For more on Hannah's books check out this page.

Review & Giveaway: Unashamed

It was my utmost joy to be able to take part in reviewing this book! Some self-help books I can totally relate to and others not so much, but this one...WOW! Exactly what I needed to read and learn at this time in my life. Each chapter has a few questions to ponder and discuss if using this book in a group format, which I think is a great idea!! She talks about the various forms of shame, body shame, social shame, performance shame and shame in marriage as well as the difference between shame and guilt. She also talked about shame-free parenting!! I would love for every Believer to get a hold of this book, it is eyeopening, powerful and full of hope for freedom. Continue reading to enter the giveaway! From the back of the book...
SHAME IS EVERYWHERE
Whether it's related to relationships, body image, work difficulties, or a secret sin, we all experience shame at some point in our lives. While shame can manifest itself in different ways-fear, regret, or anger-it ultimately points us to our most fundamental need as human beings: redemption.

Shame never disappears in solitude, and Heather Davis Nelson invites us to not only be healed of our own shame but also be a part of healing for others. She shines the life-giving light of the gospel on the things that leave us feeling worthless and rejected, giving us courage to walk out of shame's shadows and offering hope for our brokenness. Through the gospel, we discover the only real and lasting antidote to shame: exchanging our shame for the righteousness of Christ alongside others on this same journey.
About the book: Unashamed: Healing Our Brokenness and Finding Freedom from Shame offers hope to those struggling under the burden of shame. This book shines the life-giving light of the gospel on the things that leave us feeling worthless and rejected, directing our attention to the God who promises to forgive and restore us—no matter what.

Review & Giveaway: Bible Belle's

About the Book: Bible Belles’ The Adventure of Rooney Cruz is an original children’s series that presents real life heroes like never before. The series highlights five superhero women of the Bible: Hannah, Esther, Abigail, Ruth and Deborah. We’re setting out to present women in the Bible in a way that has never been done before. We want girls to connect with them and find out what being truly beautiful is all about. We want girls to remember their names, their stories, and how special they are.

About the Author: Erin Weidemann is an enthusiastic and goofy mom to two children, one of them with paws. She is a wife, author, teacher, former college athlete and a five time cancer survivor. Her heart is in Seville, Spain, though she calls Encinitas, CA home. In her spare time she enjoys going to the beach with her husband and daughter, coaching softball, and pretending she can bake. She loves eating, laughing, and volunteering at church teaching Sunday school. In addition to being the CEO and founder of Bible Belles, Erin hosts the Heroes For Her podcast.

Before you watch the video below, let me just share how much I enjoyed this book! The illustrations are great to look at and the storyline is simple enough for the younger readers but still profound enough for those who are reading to younger children. My favorite line in the book is "The more you use your superpowers, the stronger they get!" It is possible to see our children get excited about the superpowers of the Bible, also known as the Fruit of the Spirit!! While I'm not a fan of watered down Bible stories for children, this story was beautifully done and I love how Erin pulls an unexpecting superpower from her telling of the story of Esther. Well done!!! I would love to collect this series!

For more information on the book check out their website!

Review & Giveaway: Wise Guys

For guys, more than ever, it’s a confusing world. Your GPS doesn’t offer any maps showing how to get to the point of wisdom — and who likes asking for directions anyway? But there are ways to get that guidance you need. The answers may be all around you, in the form of guys you already know. Wise guys. More experienced guys. Better-traveled guys. Could there be ways to tap into their invaluable knowledge without enduring dull lectures or taking pages of notes? Kent Evans has surrounded himself with these wise guys. They have shown him all the back roads on the way to wisdom. With a great deal of humor and an endless supply of stories, he wants to show you how to gather life-enriching truth from the guys in your own circle.

KENT EVANS is the board chairman and co-founder of Manhood Journey, a ministry that helps fathers and mentors build the next generation of godly men. Kent has personally experienced how the guidance of godly men can change the course of a life. Today he is blessed with a solid 20-year marriage, four wonderful sons and a fulfilling life – largely because of what he’s learned from other men. He lives in Louisville, Kentucky, and can be found on Twitter @manhoodjourney.

Oh my...hilarious. This book is seriously funny, but full of great truths that our older teens and even our younger teens should learn sooner than later. My 14 yr old son is starting this book tomorrow, I know I will hear laughter coming from him on a pretty regular basis and I look forward to the conversations we will have at the end of each chapter. My attention was completely captivated at the first story of the Un-Something that we can not become. I highly recommend this book as a coming of age book, or a graduation book, or a post-secondary graduation gift...even our husbands and fathers would benefit from this book!! It is for those looking for mentors and those who would love to be a mentor. We can always influence those around us to reach for the higher goals instead of just encouraging each other to plug on in our familiar ruts and not succeeding in anything! This book is a two thumbs up kinda book! See below, to enter the giveaway!!!

Review & Giveaway: Bearing Witness

About Bearing Witness: Stories of Martyrdom and Costly Discipleship
From the stoning of Stephen in the first-century Jerusalem to Nigerian Christians persecuted by Boko Haram in 2015, these stirring accounts will inspire greater faithfulness to the way of Jesus, reminding believers what costly discipleship looks like in any age. Bearing Witness brings together dozens of accounts from around the world of Christians who gave witness to their faith in the face of intense persecution, even if it costs them their lives. In selecting stories for this book, the editors focused on Anabaptist martyrs and others who suffered for their commitment to believer’s baptism and nonviolence.

My review:

It is always inspiring to read of the hardships that others have gone through for the sake of their faith. I often wonder if I, myself would be strong enough to endure what these people have endured, and I am reminded of how blessed I am to live in Canada. Our country is still "free" but I wonder for how long. The very stories of these martyrs could easily be our own in the not too distant future, as we see the political/social/moral state of our country change. This book is similar to many other books about martyrs, but have more up to date stories within the covers and is focused more on the non violent denominations of the Christian religion. A great read, and one that is sure to encourage you to take a firmer stand in your beliefs. I felt encouraged to stand firm in my convictions and not to compromise, to take back any ground that the enemy took while I DID compromise! Three cheers to freedom, physical, emotional and spiritual!!!

• Help Kids - Operates on a buy one - give one campaign to get books into the hands of kids who cannot afford their own copies.

My review:
So I gave this book to my 14yr old son to read, as he likes reading and had run out of fresh books! He couldn't put it down, I thought I'd have to put schooling on hold until he finished the book! Thankfully, he's a fast reader and it was read over a couple of dayslate nights, so not much school was missed (oh the joys of the flexibility of homeschooling). He would laugh as he told me parts of the story while in the vehicle driving somewhere, he loved the references to The Princess Bride (a favorite movie in our house) and he made it clear that it would be pure torture for him as he waited for future books from this author. I will be reading a couple chapters at night with my other children, since it made such a huge impact on my oldest. We are suckers for a great book!!! And it's only a great book if it teaches good morality and character! I am so glad we have this book in our home library! Perfect for ages 9-14, but my 7 yr old will love it as well, of that I am sure!

Review & Giveaway: None Like Him

God is self-existent, self-sufficient, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, sovereign, infinite, and incomprehensible. We're not. And that's a good thing. Our limitations are by design. We were never meant to be God. But at the root of every sin is our rebellious desire to possess attributes that belong to God alone. Calling us to embrace our limits as a means of glorifying God's limitless power, Jen Wilkin invites us to celebrate the freedom that comes when we rest in letting
God be God.
About the Author:
Jen Wilkin is a speaker, writer, and teacher of women's Bible studies. During her fifteen years of teaching, she has organized and led studies for women in home, church, and parachurch contexts. Jen and her family are members of the Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas. She is the author of Women of the Word: How to Study the Bible with Both Our Hearts and Our Minds.

Life is too short and too precious to spend fearing the wrong things in the wrong ways. I propose we learn holy fear for a God like no other. Only then will our fear of man be put to flight, our self-adulation be laid to rest, and our hearts be turned toward worship. I want us to become God-fearing women in the truest sense of the word, to take our stand in gladness at the foot of Mount Zion, offering true worship to our Father in heaven. And in so doing, we'll make a beginning at becoming wise. pg 14

This book has been such an eye-opener for me! Jen writes about just 10 of the ways God is different from us, giving each attribute it's own chapter and sharing Scriptures and personal stories about His limitlessness and our own limitations. Infinite, Incomprehensible, Self-Existent, Self-Sufficient, Eternal, Immutable, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent and Sovereign.
Our God has NO LIMITS!!! He is a God of infinite mystery, creativity, provision, days, sameness, place, knowledge, power and rule. Infinite....no limits! How often do we put God in a box simply so that we can try to understand Him completely?! Let's take Him out of that box and embrace our own limited humanity. He created us this way, we are shaped in His image, just with limitations. Exactly the way He wanted us.

I think this would make a great small group study, with meditation verses and questions at the end of each chapter. I plan to do this with my family. A chapter a week, the younger ones may not understand it all but it will still be good for them to hear!

Review and Discount: 8 Simple Tools for Raising Great Kids

To make this book practical for busy parents, I have broken each of the eight tools into 5 brief chapters. No matter how busy you are, you can read a few pages at a time. Each chapter ends with a practical tip that will help you remember the main point of that chapter and a follow-up thought or action to consider that you can put into practice that very day.

I have written five parenting books (faith based), which you can learn more about on the Books page. I have presented many parenting workshops at mom’s conferences (Hearts at Home, MOPS International), MOPS groups, churches, and schools, which you can read about on the Workshop page. I have also recently developed a skill-building game for kids called The Flexible Thinking Game.

In my free time, I enjoy doing anything with my wife, spending time with my boys whenever possible, reading, running, and playing jazz piano any chance I get. My Christian faith is an important part of my life and thinking, and I am continually thankful for God’s grace, of which I am an undeserving recipient.

My review: WOW, this couldn't have come at a better time! Just when spring fever hits and the kids somehow translates this into meaning that no school needs to get done and listening to mom is not really high on their priority list! I needed the tips and tools presented in this book! Just like we have very handy kitchen tools that make our jobs easier in the kitchen, this book is full of the tools that make parenting easier! I will share the tools but you will want to buy the book to learn how to use them!
Curious to see how YOUR parenting measures up? Check out this assessment and you will see your strengths and how effective you currently are.

Review & Giveaway: Under the Sea Holy Bible

The Under the Sea Holy Bible, NIrV is a perfect gift for children ages 6 to 10. Themes of underwater fun and sparkling fish grace the interior of this wonderful children’s Bible. The outside is covered in foil and sparkle. The interior has color inserts featuring whimsical underwater scenes with themes of God’s care and love for each of us and all of creation.

My Review: My 7 yr old was so excited when this came in the mail! He had been asking for a Bible of his own and his very playful personality was tickled that he would be the recipient of such an exciting looking Bible! The pictures inside are fun and captivating but like with most children's Bibles, the words on those fun pages are not just watered down but actually share thoughts that contradict the Bible itself! We will be explaining to my son the difference between God's written word and man's added thoughts and we will certainly make sure he knows what the 10 Commandments really say and not the indoctrinated version presented on the fun page added to the Bible. While making it easier to understand some of the Commandments, the author completely twisted the 4th commandment altogether and I just had to state that and get it off my chest. Exodus 20 clearly states WHICH day of the week is the Sabbath day...we mere humans do not get the luxury to pick which day that is, even though this Bible version's commentary tells us that we can.

It's a fun looking Bible and I may just tear our the commentary parts (only 3 pages) but all in all I think it's pretty good. It has a little dictionary at the back, as well as a list of all the famous Bible stories and where to find them. A great beginning Bible for my 7 yr old to start reading with!

Review and Giveaway: The Mustard Seed

The story of The Mustard Seed begins with Sara, a ten-year-old girl in a small country town, who startles her family when she inexplicably begins to heal others afflicted with fatal conditions, making her overnight an unlikely media celebrity. As if that weren’t enough, she insists all the while that the healing was done not by her but by Jesus, whom she sees walking on a lake!

But was she really alone in seeing Jesus?

As the story unfolds, Sara’s life takes an unexpected twist that bewilders her entire community.

Besides being a compelling read, Sara’s story makes for an exhilarating spiritual experience.

My review:

I quite enjoyed this book! It was an easy book to read and I certainly did NOT want to put it down! It was really quite gripping, and very easy to relate to the characters. I was thankful I was reading the ebook late at night all by myself as I had tears streaming down my face at different times. It was also nice to see a book that showed the simplicity that Jesus wants His followers to have. We adults tend to overthink everything and over complicate life, yet Scripture says that we need to have the faith of a child. Simple and trusting.
I would recommend this book to anyone of any faith background. Even though I did not see eye to eye with the authors choice of doctrine, it was still a very encouraging read.

My Review:
we have enjoyed reading these during our devotions, a nice change from our regular routine of Bible reading. I love that there are verses taken from both the Old and New Testament...so often these days the focus is on the New Testament and Tanakh is forgotten! We will continue to enjoy reading this book morning and evening!

My husband and I enjoyed this movie, and will probably allow our 14 yr old son to watch it. Love the story of hope it offers and pray that many others that watch it, will feel the hope that is found in a relationship with Yeshua(Hebrew name for Jesus). I absolutely love movies based on true events and this is one that I am proud to have on my shelf and would quickly recommend. It gives a very real look at how hard it is to break addictions when you are on your own, even if you DO have a family member around that you want to be a better person for. Like I said, a movie filled with hope... It is so hard to find good movies these days! Enter now to win your copy!!!
